INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS
North West College is a Public Institution and an approved Designated Learning Institution for international students in the Province of Saskatchewan and with the Government of Canada.
DLI# O265527598312.
These international programs are PGWP (post-graduate work permit) eligible as per IRCC regulation.
IMPORTANT UPDATE - December 10, 2024
The Canadian government has made additional changes for International Students that wish to change institutions. As part of the new regulations, students wishing to change designated learning institutions (DLIs) need to apply for a new study permit extension – and most students changing DLIs may only begin studying at the new DLI after the application is approved. There are special conditions that you may meet which would allow you to start attending the new DLI while your study permit is being processed, but please review the new regulations and confirm before taking action.
You can find more detailed information at the IRCC page detailing the process of changing DLI's here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/change-schools.html
IMPORTANT UPDATE - November 15, 2024
The Canadian government has made changes to the allowable weekly work hours for International students. The new regulations impacting the International Student Program are now in effect, including the change to the number of hours international students may work off campus. With this change, eligible students can now work up to 24 hours per week off campus while their classes are in session.
For more information, please refer to the Government of Canada news release outlining the changes here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2024/11/new-international-student-program-regulations-take-effect.html
