Overview
Course Objective
This training was developed in compliance with the CSA B335-15 Safety Standard for Lift Trucks. Applying a blended learning environment, using an instructor led approach to deliver and establish a baseline of knowledge within each participant, in coordination with utilizing a hands-on approach for equipment demonstrations and student operator evaluations.
Highlights of some of the topics include, but are not limited to:
- Introduction to lift Trucks
- History of Lift Trucks & Incident History
- Legislation & Standards (CSA)
- Responsibilities
- Lift Truck Types
- Classification & Lift Codes
- Hazard Assessment
- Pre-Use inspection & Components
- Safe Operation
Each participant will be required to complete a theory exam and practical evaluation, following the guidelines established by the CSA. Each participant/operator will be evaluated individually and may require additional employer specific training or equipment familiarization training on the specific make or model of equipment at their workplace (if different than what is used during training).
Student must bring PPE for training: Steel toed boots, hard hat & safety glasses. No shorts, need long pants or coveralls.
Course format: In-person, Instructor-led
Course Cost: $235.00 (subject to change)

Location: Meadow Lake Campus.
Course time: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Please note that this course begins promptly at 8:00am. We ask that you arrive early to complete the registration process.
