Overview
The Guest Services Essential Skills for the Workplace program is Education and Training Incentive (ETI) eligible.
The Guest Services Essential Skills for the Workplace will include the following content:
- 9 Skills for Success curriculum as according to the Government of Canada. The Skills for Success will be tailored to the Guest Services/Hospitality industry. Students will cover the following:

- Elements of the Adult Basic Education curriculum including:

- Math
- Personal Development – with an emphasis on work readiness
- Emerit Work Readiness Credential – Micro-certificate through Tourism Saskatchewan and Tourism HR Canada covering the following:

- Safety Tickets (in-person):

- Two-week unpaid work experience at a local hotel.

Admission Requirements
To be eligible for Adult Basic Education including Guest Services Essential Skills for the Workplace, all applicants must be:
• Saskatchewan Resident or Permanent Resident; and
• 18 years of age and out of school for one year; or
• 19 years of age.
This program is focused on working as a front desk agent, so a satisfactory criminal record check with vulnerable sector check will be required.
