8:00am - 8:00pm
For the seven-day period ending Thursday, February 5, the college has been informed of one positive COVID-19 case involving a member of the college community. All College community members confirmed positive are required to self-isolate until cleared by the Saskatchewan Health Authority. We are working closely with Public Health officials to ensure necessary measures are in place to protect all students and staff.
At North West College, the health and safety of our community is our top priority. The information here will be reviewed and updated, as required. We encourage you to learn more about the virus at Government of Saskatchewan COVID-19 website.
NORTH WEST COLLEGE BLENDED DELIVERY CONTINUES
For continued health and safety of our students, staff and the communities we serve, North West College will continue to provide its programs and services in a blended fashion for the winter term, until further notice. Blended means a combination of online learning, face-to-face and alternative delivery instruction. The amount of face-to-face program delivery will be dependent upon the program type and Public Health orders we are required to comply with. This continues to be a fluid situation and we appreciate your patience and feedback as we continue to adapt to the rapidly-changing circumstances of the pandemic.
We all have a roll to play in slowing the spread. Please take precautions by following all public health recommendations and ensuring you do your part to stop the spread of COVID-19. Protect yourself and others:

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARRIVE ON CAMPUS

All staff, students and visitors are asked to fill out a screening form upon entry into a North West College campus/program site. This form has been updated to reflect the latest directive from Health. Please ensure you read the screening from in its entirety. You are required to fill out a form EVERY DAY you are on campus/program site and for EVERY College building you enter. Once the form has been filled out it is valid for the whole day.
(REMINDER) Masks on Campus
Facemasks are now mandatory for all staff, students and visitors at all College facilities in classrooms, hallways, administration office areas and other common areas at all times. Please remember that physical distancing is still a requirement even when wearing a mask. All students are provided one re-usable mask.
(REMINDER) Classrooms and Learning Spaces
In our continued efforts to ensure we remain compliant with Public Health orders and Ministerial frameworks and guidelines, all classrooms and learning spaces have been cleaned and sanitized as well as structured by social distancing protocols. All classrooms have been documented and approved for a set occupancy rate as labelled on classroom entrance doors. Any accommodations or alterations to the classroom must be approved by Facilities and the Director of Finance. All efforts will be made to accommodate your classroom needs and requirements.
(REMINDER) Physical distancing during breaks
Physical distancing (staying 6 feet apart from others) on campus and during breaks must be adhered to. Failure to do so increases the risk of transmitting COVID-19 and can be regarded as a form of non-academic misconduct. Activities such as standing in close quarters, sharing cigarettes, sharing food, etc. is not permitted at this time.
(REMINDER) Access to Our Campuses Will Remain Limited
For continued safety, campus access across all of our locations remains restricted and contingency plans are in place in case of a resurgence of the virus. For those on site please remember to limit your interactions and be sure to maintain physical distancing wherever possible, even with a mask.
