Covid-19 Update

On behalf of President & CEO Jay Notay:

The College has been informed of a positive case of COVID-19 involving a student at our North Battleford campus.  All College community members confirmed positive are required to self-isolate until cleared by the Saskatchewan Health Authority. We are working closely with Public Health officials to ensure necessary measures are in place to protect all students and staff.

Public Health will be contacting individuals who may have been in close contact with the case and providing direction.  If you do not hear from them, you have not been exposed because of the measures that are in place.  Risk of exposure for anyone not considered a close contact is low.  Due to privacy considerations, personal information will not be released, and we ask you to respect the privacy of others.

We remind everyone entering all campus and program sites to monitor for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. Remember, masks are mandatory at all College facilities at all times, except while in an area enclosed setting to which students and members of the public do not normally have access, and the individual is alone. Please remember that physical distancing is still a requirement even when wearing a mask.

If you are sick, please stay home.

We all have a roll to play in this.  Keep following public health measures so that one day, we’ll all be able to go back to enjoying the things we miss. Please visit northwestcollege.ca for additional information as it is available.  For further information regarding COVID-19 please visit the Government of Saskatchewan COVID-19 website.

Stay safe everyone.

Jay Notay

President & CEO
