Covid-19 Update

A message from President and CEO Jay Notay

Dear North West College Community

The College has been informed of a positive  COVID-19 case involving a member of the college community linked to our North West College Meadow Lake campus. All College community members confirmed positive are required to self-isolate until cleared by the Saskatchewan Health Authority. We are working closely with Public Health officials to ensure necessary measures are in place to protect all students and staff.

Public Health officials will be contacting individuals who may have been in close contact with this specific occurrence and providing direction. If you do not hear from them, you have not been exposed because of the measures that are in place. Due to privacy considerations, personal information will not be released, and we ask you to respect the privacy of others.

Risk of exposure for anyone not considered a close contact is low. We remind everyone entering all campus and program sites to monitor for any signs or symptoms of COVID-19. In accordance with  the announcement yesterday from Health, effective November 16th, 2020 (and until further notice), masks are mandatory at all College facilities in classrooms, hallways, administration office areas, and other common areas at all times.

If you are sick, please stay home.

Please visit northwestcollege.ca for additional information as it is available. For further information regarding COVID-19, please visit www.saskatchewan.ca/covid-19 .

Stay safe everyone.

Sincerely,

Jay Notay

President & CEO North West College
