In response to COVID-19 North West College is advising employees and students to continue to work and study from home. North West College is following recommendations from the Chief Medical Health Officer of Saskatchewan and the Ministry of Advanced Education. The College will continue to follow the advice of government and health officials in the coming weeks. This week students should continue to study at home. An update about arrangements for the week of April 6th will be shared later this week.
Study groups: In response to COVID-19 many North West College programs are being offered online and through alternate delivery to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission. Learning from home individually also means you need to follow this protocol for group work. Any group project work needs to be completed virtually using technology identified by your instructor. North West College students are asked not to meet in person to study. Study groups would not be able to maintain the six feet of distance required for physical distancing. Stay socially connected by physically apart.
Graduation postponed: North West College has made the difficult decision to postpone graduation ceremonies that were scheduled for this May. Additional information will be provided once we have evaluated options and determined the appropriate solution for this year. Graduation is an important milestone and exciting moment for our community. We are working diligently on solutions to ensure our graduates are recognized for their achievements.
Exam Invigilation and Safety Training Certificates: In accordance with social distancing protocols. North West College is not currently offering Face-to-Face Exam invigilation. Safety Training has also been cancelled for the month of April.
Student Wellness: During these times of uncertainty and change, we encourage you to connect with services and supports available to you. Facebook groups have been established for Student Services South (Battlefords Campus)
